Maybe it's me but this topic seems to be more confusing in the rewrite than it was in the 05 book. I've looked at the diagrams but the wording in the book seems to call for something else. What is the concensus regarding the 3' ring around the pool. It is an inground gunite pool. The owner is going to install pavers for decking. This is also in MA so any MA amendments would apply.

The Mass and NEC 680.26 are pretty close to the same,.. there is a small difference to section (C) you can download a copy here http://www.afaa-ne.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=99&Itemid=2

Thats one of the diagrams I was refering to. This may sound dumb, but is that all they are refering to for the bonding grid? A single #8 running around the pool 18-24" out. All the previous hype seemed to indicate that a actual grid was required for a non-paved area. Paul
