I'd leave the SE conductors the same, but install many more charging heads, so the average utilization of the circuit goes up. Four 48A chargers will rarely to never hit their peak all at the same time. So how to size? Start with a given circuit size, then use load management to distribute that to the chargers. Focus on the results first, then see how that affects the upstream SE size.
