EV Charging Disconnect

We will be hard wiring a EV charging station on the exterior of a house. Does the EV charging station need a disconnect? I was planning on putting a 60 amp a/c disconnect right by it. Code reference?

Looks like it's not required under 61 amps unless you're above 150 volts to ground with the supply voltage.

625.42 Disconnecting Means. For electric vehicle supply
equipment rated more than 60 amperes or more than 150 volts
to ground, the disconnecting means shall be provided and in-
stalled in a readily accessible location. The disconnecting
means shall be lockable open in accordance with 110.25.
