Hello,
I am an electrical contractor of 9 years from CA. I moved to NYC on January, so I want to start contracting in the city. Does anyone know if city of New York accepts holding a C-10 contractors license as required experience. I went to DOB and they did not have a clear answer. Exam instruction also says that I am responsible to know if they would accept my experience. I would have to take my exams first and pay a lots of money before they verify my experience. On a related note, I want to start preparing to take my master electrician test. Also, I am looking for somebody that can help me prepare for this exam in NYC. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The NYC Masters is very difficult to get through. The paperwork, cost, and testing are all tough and Scott Cohen is by far the best chance you have of getting through it for the least amount of money and pain. I've got the license and it took me the better part of three years to get everything buttoned up. Best of luck to you.
