Does everyone here use the load calculation in 220.83 or other sections of 220? I am doing a load calculation for an existing single family dwelling unit. I get a large difference in amperage by using 220.83 as compaired to using other articles in 220. Difference is about 25 amps added to service. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you, Mark

I would say that it is a good practice to use the different tables provided to do the math. (that's what they're there for) However all code books not the same. I'm in Chicago and there are some articles in my NEC book that are not in my Chicago version.(210.12 skips to 210.19) But nevertheless they're pretty much are as close as close could be. But I'm with e57 what book are you using?
