Snap pictures of the violations that you see and have written documentation of violations that you see, that way you have proof of it after you have left and 2 years down the road the building caught fire and they are looking for answers.

Exclusions: Correcting any hazardous conditions or code violations which may exist in the existing service or wiring system. That corrective work, if any, has not been included in our price.

Be carefully, there are those on this forum that will tell you that you are not in business.

Yeah, people that don't get signed contracts shouldn't even call themselves a legitimate contractor. ;)

When you're dealing with "country folk", this can be largely unnecessary by you still may get gigged once or twice a year by the practice. If you operate in a metropolitan area, getting paperwork on each and every little thing is just what needs to happen as a basic survival practice. Some areas now are full of transplants from larger markets, so it's getting tougher and tougher to tell if you need to break out the paperwork or not for a small job. For bigger work, I use paperwork, but for jobs under 2 or 3K, I don't normally unless I get that certain feeling in my gut.

Marc's signature at the moment.

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.

Yes Marc you are great mind surrounded by the mediocre who just want to prosecute you for your ideas.

I guess I am lllegitimate. Over 30 years and never signed a contract--well maybe once or twice but very long ago.

How many times did I get taken to the cleaners? Twice- Once on a service call for $40.00 and once from a fish company that went under for $200. She called me and said come get as much fish as you want before the creditors got there.

And I thought I had a good thing going only to find out I am illegitinate.. Geez, my mom never said anything about it either:grin:

The winky dude meant that I was kidding....sorry for the confusion to all who responded to my statement. I personally couldn't care less if you get a signed contract or not. :)
