When you're dealing with "country folk", this can be largely unnecessary by you still may get gigged once or twice a year by the practice. If you operate in a metropolitan area, getting paperwork on each and every little thing is just what needs to happen as a basic survival practice. Some areas now are full of transplants from larger markets, so it's getting tougher and tougher to tell if you need to break out the paperwork or not for a small job. For bigger work, I use paperwork, but for jobs under 2 or 3K, I don't normally unless I get that certain feeling in my gut.peter d said:Yeah, people that don't get signed contracts shouldn't even call themselves a legitimate contractor.![]()
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.
I guess I am lllegitimate. Over 30 years and never signed a contract--well maybe once or twice but very long ago.peter d said:Yeah, people that don't get signed contracts shouldn't even call themselves a legitimate contractor.![]()
