Explosion Proof Receptacle

If you have an explosion proof receptacle, is it also waterproof.

I have a production facility where they are washing the walls with a high pressure nozzle. The walls have explosion proof receptacles on it, I assume that they would also be water tight?

No they would not necessarily so. Besides of the classified approval they would need to have NEMA 4 or 6 rating, indicated separately.
