Under uses for WD-40...
Thread electrical wire through conduits. Spray WD-40 on the electrical wire to help it glide through winding conduits.

I actually did that. I was on a job in the middle of nowhere and had no Yellow 77 and needed some for a very tough short run. All I had on the truck was a can of WD-40. It worked great! My concern, as should be obvious, was what the WD-40 would do to the insulation on the wire over time. I tried to get as much off the pull as I could, but that concern has always been in the back of my mind. If the WD-40 is safe to use on wire pulls, it really makes a difference. The downside was the mess it made out of the tape I used to wrap the end of the wires with. It turns the glue into goo!!
