No one has even mentioned the 90 degree EMT compression connector at the bottom. Do these even exist? :-?
Yes they do, and you can get them in 45 deg as well.

He's mistakenI need to find this in the code book. We have a QC on our job who says this is against code.
That is because you can and the rings themselves are manufactured so you canI have never herad that you could not,
You are rightI just don't see why you can't.
That's because it is not specifically worded anywhere in the code but neither is what screw driver should be used to tighten a common point/phillips head combo screw.I have been unable to find it in the NEC.
Have him back up his claim by showing you where it is stated they can't be used for new constructionHe Also says we are not allowed to use them on new construction. I would appreciate any help on this, Thanks.
Sorry, I just had to!
Absolutely. I've used them on several occasions. A pair of them works great when you have two things that only have top or bottom KO's and they're mounted side-by-side.
Look up a Halex #02905B.

This is certainly an inventive, creative way to make the assembly, but I think a claim that 250.4(A)(3) and 250.4(A)(5) might be made, depending upon the situation.see the empty conn. on the bottom, I ran a pipe from the back of the orig. box inside and is held by that conn. after I cut the thread part of making it like a coupling. hehe
