Commercial application out on open patio and have to hang ceiling fans. I know the box must be fan rated and damp location listed. There must be a box to do just this.

chevy, if the box is exposed then just use a wp round box and mount the fan with screws to the framing above , not to the box. If the box is recessed in sheetrock then it is not an issue just use a standard fan box.

Yeah its exposed. I was wondering if there was such a box for my application.

The only box for your application is a bell box, like Dennis mentioned above... Check out sections 422.18 (A) & (B)

Chevy, if the box is not supporting the fan then you don't need a fan rated box. That's why I suggested using 3" screws thru the fan bracket into the beam the box is mounted on. The box will not support the fan the beam will.

Just use one of these

I agree with using the cast box. I recently did a fan in (under?) a gazebo, using such a box. (Wiring was well-placed UF.) I was asked to mount the fan in the center, where two 2x8's intersected.

Knowing the canopy-to-framing gap would be unsightly, I recessed the box into the lumber by notching the two pieces of wood by the depth of the box with a recip, and breaking out the wood.

The fan bracket thus sat against one of the 2x8's, and I used two 4" long x 1/4" lag screws to support the fan independently of the box. The customer was very pleased with the results.

It sounds like your fan canopy will not reach the ceiling because of the box and conduit(s), so make sure the hardware you use is long enough to extend into solid framing material.

Exactly what I used. I mounted the box via the mounting ears with two 1" wood screws into one 2x8, and placed the two 1/4" lags supporting the fan bracket into the other 2x8. All hardware was stainless steel.
