Fancy permenantly installed extension cord

What are your thoughts about compliance with 400.8(1) and (2)

At least the inwall cable is NM

It looks like the NM portion has to be 'wired'.

In this state that would require a permit and a licensed electrician.

The A/V guy would not likely be a licensed electrician.

If they used a re-lock type plug on both ends of the NM they might be better off.

As much as I hate rubber cord I do not see this as much different then the cord that is on a video projector that is permanently mounted.
