Which fuse type is used more often for fused disconnect switches and why? Maybe it's about equal but don't. Thanks.

Depends on the load! Motor loads, Inductive loads….Time Delay!

A given size switch ie: 30, 60.100 amp etc. will commonly take either type fuse. You will note with loads like motors the fast acting fuse would be a higher amperage than a time delay resulting in the need for a larger ampere switch. For instance a 10hp 480v would use a 25 amp time delay but a 45 amp fast acting

As a general rule almost always time delay.

Delicate electronic equipment loads will most likely require fast-acting fuses.
