Federal Pioneer 400amp switch

I was told that I could put in a 200amp fuse into a 400 amp FPE Disconnect Switch... i put one in, but it was loose! Is there an adapter?...or not rated for the smaller fuse??

Yes, they have adapters for smaller fuse going into larger frame disconnects.

and hold on to your wallet. they are Expensive

Depending if your conductors being protected are large enough you could use 225 amp fuses and not need adapters.
