Feeding new shop and house

I have been on the hunt for some solid answers to my questions for some time now and thought it might be time to step up and ask away.
Here is my current configuration.
I have a 400AMP service that will be coming onto the property underground to my new building (Shop). I have a 400amp meter that will be hooked up to the service. From there, I will be installing a 200amp service panel inside the shop and a 200amp service panel inside the house. Theses buildings are detached from each other.
From what i understand, there should be no problem doing as i described since the panel in the house has its own main breaker.
What I would like to do is install a service disconnect for the house feeder next to the meter. The house will be remodeled in the future, and i like the idea of being able to kill the power feeding to it.
My other question regards to the grounding of this house panel. I have come to understand that only One ground rod should be used on this property (at service meter) and I should be running a ground wire from my service disconnect underground to the house along with the feeder wires.

The last fun part of my project here includes an automatic transfer switch for a generator. This unit has its own set of breakers to run (will be hooked up in shop to lights, etc). Is there any approved way to feed power to the house to run a few basic outlets? This turns very complicated since the house is on its own panel.

Id appreciate any help with this. Thanks
