When giving you or the foreman contract drawings do you want/provide every system or just the ones he installing/need such as elec, IT, FA, arch etc.
I know there are often references that he would need such as mechanical etc.
Just curious what you like to have in your hands.
 
I personally ask for everything. Plumbing for heat trace, Fire alarm, HVAC for VAV and FPB thermostat locations, Structural for core drilling, and of course Architectural for elevations, dimensions, etc. The only ones I really don't need are sprinkler.
 
Your foreman needs a full set. As I mentioned before in a post, your journeyman and apprentices think they are the only ones on the jobsite. When you tell them to install a trapeze and a bunch of home runs, they will pick the first open spot and take off. The foreman needs to have all the drawings in order to make sure he will be staying out of the way of plumbing and HVAC. It will/could prevent a lot of rework.
