We do 90% residential rehab. My question is how do you handle lighting when drywallers are finishing and painting. I have temp power and temp lighting while demo and framing. The general is always crying for lights and a couple outlets. As we all know sometimes that isn't possible without lots of wirenuts or many receptacles. may catch 1 bedroom outlets and hall light....hence tying all wires together. Rehab wiring is a bit different from new construction. we have gone to attic to get back to wall outlets on 2nd floor because of issues on 1st floor. so running homeruns for lighting in the future isn't always feasible.
What do you guys do? New construction what do you guys do?
This may ne more of a business management than wiring issue.

I make very liberal use of the NM allowance in 590 and pretty much string it wherever needed.

Pig tail lamp holders, 3M scotchlocks, and tape.

Basically a roll or two, more if needed, that ends up in the scrap heap when done.

Charge it as part of the temp costs.

Both new construct & reno's are exclusive #14 lighting circuits for us, easy to pigtail ,easy to 'nut off' switches, one can put a male cord cap on the HR if the panel isn't made in or up

HR's in kitchens and baths get the old gfci's harvested off reno's , painters will paint them anyways

GC gets a crying towel if he continues with the crocodile tears.....

Fire up one in the basement, kit. refrigerator, up stair bath.
Then hear people cry the circuit trips due to everyone plugging in to one opening.
I have made temp. power boards per floor and temp. Lighting on request, but was paid extra for it.
