Fire alarm Horn/Strobes in warehouse building?

I am looking at some warehouse drawings and there are no fire alarm horn/strobes located anywhere? From researching the IBC code I do not see any exceptions to providing notification devices to alert the building occupants of a fire. Is this legit?

NFPA 72 requires these. I assume that IBC references NFPA or has its own requirements similar to NPFA

NFPA allows the use of a supervisory system so you don't have to strobe 1-2 million square feet or so...

Wasasparky,
Can you help me with understanding this one? I am not familiar with this type of "supervisory" system.

I am familiar with provisions that say that employee areas need to be wired so that visual notification can be added to the audible circuits (in case they hire a hearing impaired employee). Also, if the warehouse area allowed "common" use or public access, those areas would have to have compliant visual notification.

I forgot: Audible would still be required "............in every occupied space within the building."

To the OP: Good Catch!

I don't see anything saying it's required either. Warehouse would be Group S.

907.2: Where required. An approved manual, automatic or manual and automatic fire alarm system shall be provided in accordance with Sections 907.2.1 through 907.2.23....

Only these sections might be relavant.
907.2.14: High-piled combustible storage areas. (Maybe this one. Where required by international fire code.)
907.2.16: Aerosol storage uses. (Maybe this one. Where required by international fire code.)
