What is the difference between Non-power-Limited Fire Alarm circuits and Power-Limited Fire Alarm Circuits? I am reading Article 760 and the definitions make no sence to me?
The way I read it is that a non-power limited fire alarm uses line voltage and the power-limited uses a class 3 trany for power-- I presume 24 volts or so.

The major difference is that power limited fire alarms are found virtually everywhere, and non-power limited fire alarms are obsolete for all intents and purposes.
