Two things I learned while swirling with fire stop : I next to never wear gloves but that stuff is a pain to get off your skin & forget about diverting it off work clothes. At the large hospital that I retired from they told us not to fire stop certain walls ( example small office 3 by 4' closet ). They would hire a company one or two times a year to open up ceiling titles in every floor. They would write up boxes that did not have covers. 90% of missing covers were on low voltage controls, door card readers, door magnets & smoke detectors but electric shop would replace covers JACO would spend a week inspecting the building. Wrote us up because a few circuits in one or the 40 year old panels did not have every circuit breaker identified to the circuit it feed.
