I do know you cant penetrate a fire wall with pvc
but can you run parallel 'in' a fire chase as long as you don't pass thru?
Here is the thing. At the airport control tower there is a framed "chase" in the corner. both the plumber and I used this chase to get from floor to floor. My lightning protection also uses this chase, in pvc. The stupid part is the chase is open at the top and bottom on the print. The top floor has an acoustical ceiling the first floor has no lid (I maintain that it is not a fire "barrier' but a fire pipeline to the cab.)I'm being told I have to run all conduit in emt.
including Lightning protection .Idont have that much installed yet....
The plumber ran all of his in plastic, he's slightly nervous
The debate is still rageing at the GC's office
