I have a fire pump controller being fed from a 480 volt, 600 amp service switch and based on 250.122(D) the EGC is required to be sized on the OCPD ahead of the feeder to the fire pump controller. In this setup we have #4/0 XHHW conductors and a 600 amp time delay fuse. According to 250.122 this feeder would require a #1 EGC. Sounds correct?
