I have (2) fire pumps fed from distribution board via fire pump controller. Distribution board is fed from two power sources, Utility and standby generator with ATS. ATS switch is located in electrical room adjacent to fire pump room.
Does each fire pump still needs an ATS and fire controller or just a fire controller?

ATS switch is supplied with utility source(Normal) and stand by generator(emergency)Load side of ATS is connected to distribution switchboard which has feeder breakers to supply power to each fire pump via fire pump controller.

Re: Fire Pump controller

I'm assuming that your fire pump feeder tap is ahead of the main disconnecting means as required by 695.3(A)(1), so if you were on generator, there would be no power to the fire pump. You will need a second feeder to a fire pump rated transfer switch or controller/transfer switch combo.

Maybe you could explain in a little more detail exactly how the fire pump is connected to the service and where the generator/ATS is connected.
