Does fire pump needs to have 2-hour fired rated wall or one hour?
Reading 695-6B it appears we need to have 2-hour...correct?

I don't believe the NEC says anything about the rating of fire pump rooms.

NFPA 20, on the other hand, seems to require a 2 hour separation in all high-rise buildings, and either a 2 hour or 1 hour separation in other buildings - the 1 hour rating is allowed if both the pump room and building are fully sprinklered.

I run across one in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania a couple of months ago that had 0 fire rating, it had 9' walls, but no ceiling to the 30' roof deck. The building was built in the 90's and had been inspected. So it must be. A fire code thing. I have seen the pumps behind a chain link fence in receiving in the orange box too.
