Fire smoke damper

I have fire smoke dampers installed in public school hvac duct that is fail safe. It shuts off when loss of power. Do these type of fire smoke damper required to be on life safety circuit backup generator or not? Which code governs that?

Fire smoke dampers emergency or stand by

I have high rise and hospital building which has Fire Smoke dampers. Should the Fire Smoke Dampers be installed in emergency circuit or standby circuit? Which NEC 2017 code section?

No one in public school and another is in hospital. One is fail safe and one thread not sure. One in thread really did not get the answer. One in thread is essential one in public school have no essential branch
