Fire smoke dampers emergency or stand by

In my opinion, emergency branch, for reasons I've stated above.

Otherwise, send an RFI to the design team and have them tell you.

So I am not sure if you caught the part that the damper shuts when power failure and damper stays open when their is power.

Would fail close damper such as above require emergency power?

In addition to above also the AHU is on equipment branch of the Fire Smoke Damper. Not sure if you also overlook that or not.

Would you reconsider what you said above? Can you let me know: Would fail close damper such as above and AHU on equipment branch require life and safety branch or equipment branch is fine?

Just ask the engineer what you should do.

Roger

Engineer says he disagrees it should be on equipment branch because the whole point of the fire smoke dampers is to maintain fire and smoke rating of the wall. Dampers are fail close. AHU is on equipment branch.
