Fire station

I always get a kick out of when it is time to test the 'Fire Alarm System' at a new station,

Central Dispatch will call after a while, "Do we need to send someone over there ?? " .

That's funny. But I was actually thinking of smoke detectors when I first mentioned "dwelling". If you call it a straight "B" occupancy, then I don't think smoke detectors are required in the sleeping areas. But I really think smoke detectors should be required in the sleeping areas. It would be kind of embarassing to not have smoke detectors in the fire dept.

Just thought you guys would like to know that our planchecker determined that this fire station is a B / S-2 / R-2, so no real big concerns, but now it's not a commercial kitchen in there.
