Fireplace Insert -- GFCI or not?

I will be installing a 240 volt dedicated circuit for a fireplace insert located in a basement. My understanding of 210.8 and 422.5 (2020 NEC) is that this will not require GFCI protection because it will be hardwired (no receptacle). Are there any other pertinent references I should look at?
