Fixture Rating

I have a new building, Class II Div 1, Group G . The owner has some old Class 1 Div 2 fixtures he wishes to install. My read is that it would be a violation..wrong classification, no group.... Correct ?

It would be a violation. See Section 500.8(B)&(C); especially, 500.8(B)(1).

are the new fixtures dual rated? In some cases they are.
