What would you use to support the wire to the structure above? Guess that would depend if it was beams/steel decking or slab??

Sounds like a boiler plate specification. Are the ceiling grids being hung with ceiling wire?

That's pretty much what our Building Inspectors require as much of our area is a siesmic zone.
Our electrical inspectors advise the electricians of the requirement as that is who normally addresses it

So then you'll need 4 wires of equal or greater size than those holding up the grid.

U can use Caddy AB L-Brackets, they also sell AB L-brackets with pins for the hilt/ramset for concrete.
