FLA vs. FLC

I see many references in the NEC about full load current and nameplate FLA. Do they refer to the same thing?

Today, they are virtually the same. The original distinction has become muddied over the years.

Used properly, full-load amperes was a reference to a component's rating and full-load current was a reference to a load's "draw." Now you have to determine the usage of either term "in context."
