Flash objects

I haven't seen them either. But if I do see one will it be one of Mike's fine books? Isn't this called subliminal advertising?
 
I've seen it. I interpreted it as a "please hold while we connect your call" sort of thing.

I work with database layouts (hobby) . Sometimes the screen will flash if there is a size change in any objects from one layout to the next. So the database guru's hammer into us to make sure to have each different layout the same physical size.
 
My reMark to that is, I don't drink beer... maybe a LITTLE wine here and there.

Maybe you guys don't watch the screen like I do :wink: . A small thumb sized book (yes, Mike Holt's books) pops up for a fraction of a second.


It just happened again this time as I clicked on the submit button for this post. :!: , but this time it redirected my screen to his product page.
 
Pierre,

Perhaps you are not buying enough of Mike's products and are being reminded of this, whereas other that are not seeing the little book have met their monthly quota? :D

What I get is a 6-pointed yellow star, with a red exclamation point in the center, right next to the cursor.

By the way, when I talk about my friend "Mark," I should say "Mr. Mark." His first name is "Makers." :wink:

I just figured out that this star symbol is posted by my pop-up blocking software, not by any action within the Mike Holt web site. Is that what you are seeing, Pierre?
 
I see one of Mike's book with the disk aligned with it, it is about the size of a large thumb... it is there for a fraction of time. I have seen this about 5 or 6 times... very weird that only I am seeing this... really it is all of you who are crazy, not me :wink:
 
Look at the top of your screen. Among the myriad of icons there, do you see a button that says something about a number of pop-ups that have been blocked? If you hold your cursor over that button, does it say that you can permit pop-ups if you push the button (and then later block them again by pushing it again)?

That is how I discovered that the yellow star I saw flashing on my screen was just an indicator that pop-ups are being blocked.
