Can anyone tell me where in the N.EC. it says anything about whether it is allowable to use flat conductor cable (fcc) as a feeder? article 324?
324.10 Uses Permitted.
(A) Branch Circuits. Use of FCC systems shall be permitted both for general-purpose and appliance branch circuits and for individual branch circuits.
(B) Branch-Circuit Ratings.
(1) Voltage. Voltage between ungrounded conductors shall not exceed 300 volts. Voltage between ungrounded conductors and the grounded conductor shall not exceed 150 volts.
(2) Current. General-purpose and appliance branch circuits shall have ratings not exceeding 20 amperes. Individual branch circuits shall have ratings not exceeding 30 amperes.
Doesn't sound like it's permitted for feeders:
Brings up the old question is not specifically permitted or specifically not permitted?
IMO if an Article has a uses permitted then it's intended use should be on the list. Is it possible to list every not permitted use?

Is SE cable flat cable? I think we just had a thread where you responded that SE cable could be run to a "subpanel" thread "metermain back2back into house panel" don't get upset I'm just trying to follow.

I don't have my book with me for a reference, but somewhere it says something to the effect that feeders and branch circuits need to be installed as a chapter 3 wiring method.
So I think that means for wiring methods for 120V circuits, if it isn't specifically allowed, you can't do it.
Are you implying FCC is not an approved chapter 3 method?
