Hi folks - Looking for some direction / code sections to read. I'm replacing a FP Stab-lok with a new 200 A main breaker. Due to age / construction of building and location of the panel, trying to determine if Flex met cond can be used from where LB enters building (6" X 8" in sill plate) to top of panel hub. I'll be running Cu 3/0 3/0 2/0 for the extra flexibility. This is a residential application. Thoughts?

Thanks

See 230.43(15). Note, also check for any local amendments that modify the requirements of the NEC. Our local amendment to this section deleted all of the wiring methods except RMC and IMC.

You're not supposed to ask a diy question like this as an engineer. The biggest issue is the flex would need to connect to the lb some other way than a normal connector since it'll only be listed for either pvc, emt and or rmc/imc. Normally you'll need to replace the whole service but if possible to just do the panel you'll want to disturb the conduit as little as possible

Code Sections have been provided.
Seemingly a DIY installation therefore thread is closed
