WE ARE SPECIFYING A THREE SECTION FLOOR BOX IN A CONCRETE FLOOR. THE TOP OF THE POKE THRU IS ONLY 1.75INCHES TO THE TOP SURFACE OF THE CONCRETE FLOOR. A ELECTRICAL CODE OFFICAL SAYES THAT BY FOLLOWING THE TABLE 300-5 IN THE NEC WE NEED 2" CLEARANCE. IS THIS CORRECT. THANKS

Re: FLOOR BOX IN CONCRETE

You might go to Table 300.5 and look at.

"Location of Wiring Method or Circuit"

"Under a building" 0" cover required. :)
