Floor heat

Any thoughts on the following.
240 volt floor heat that has been operational for 5 years.

Abruptly stopped.
Ohms readings are within Mfgr specs
Voltage input correct.
T-stat was swapped with one that’s operational in another part of the house.. Did not heat with that either.

Haven’t seen the job. This info is from the owner who had a reputable electrician look at the situation.

Something you’re being told is not correct. If the resistance is correct and 240V is measured at the same point resistance is being measured at, it has to heat. I suspect the voltage is being measured at the control input, not at the heating input.
 
Are you sure the GFCI within the thermostat is not tripping?

Have you verified the circuit is delivering 240 volts when under load?

Try temporarily bypassing the thermostat and take amp

Would heating input be the load side of the the T-stat?

How can this be that complicated? 5min and a DMM should find the issue without guessing. Current drops to nothing but still have voltage on the load side = heat element is highly suspect unless terminations are smoked.
