Hey, I was looking for a recessed floor plug setup for residential use in a wood floor. What I was trying to find was a floor plug where the plug is recessed into the box .I saw a "Lew" version but the brass cover had the removable round screw in plug covers.I was trying to find a cover that had the flip-up style cover with maybe a groove cut in the cover so I could close the cover after the cord was plugged in.Anyone ever see something like that?

The one's where you can close the cover are huge, and not really adaptable for residential use. Plus, they're normally for use in concrete pours and raised floors.

For resi, I use the Carlon floor receptacle kit.

Lew makes what you are looking for. It is an 812-dfb w/dfb-1. We use them all the time on hardwood or carpet with the carpet ring. They even sell the holesaw kit sized just for them (although you can do just as well with the standard holesaws). They do not have an "in use" cover that I have seen.
