Floor vs Wall Core

For same size core and same thickness wall and slab would you say it takes about the same time to do a wall core as a floor core?

There are both types. Wet is more involved because you need water but dry is fairly useless if the concrete has a lot of rebar and you're coring large holes.

There are some brand new bits coming out that are advertising Dry bore.

A horizontal wet core can be a pita.

In my experience they are both the same. I used a core drill that had vacuum suction so setup was the same for floor or wall. I also used a Ferroscan to find the rebar. So if the hole didn't have to be in an exact, precise location I could drill without hitting rebar.

Is the floor a slab or a PT deck? It might take the same amount of time to physically core the hole, but PT decking is going to require an X-ray (or radar or whatever is is)

I would much rather do a vertical. If this is in a Finished space, setting up plastic for catchment is kind of a pain and takes some time. If you don't have to worry about that and can just make a mess, probably pretty close to the same time, just a little more of a hassle to set the thing in place on a wall, may need a second person for a few minutes.
