FM200 Is Required At Any Electrical Closet Including Cables According To Nec Or Not

So why it is highly recommended at Elec. Closet in the High rise buildings ( based on what )

I have never really worked a new high rise building so I can't comment on the building codes that may apply.

The only FM 200 systems I see installed are in data centers and important paper file rooms.

I have never seen an FM 200 installed in a run of the mill electrical room.

FM200 or any clean agent suppression like it (Inergen, Ecaro, etc) is not required by any nationally recognized code.
I design lots of electrical closets in NYC high rises and no clean agent suppression in the rooms.
