Has anyone noticed that the forum clock is gaining a few seconds a day? I've noticed that when I compare the posted times to my computer clock there seems to be a growing difference in the times. Right now the forum lock is running almost 5 minutes fast. Am I the only one with this problem? I'm using this clock as my baseline:

I agree that the "post time" is several minutes off.

"Drifting" a few seconds a day is fairly normal for a server ...

... which is why most servers routinely sync w/ an external network time protocal (NTP) server.

It appears that the server(s) hosting this forum needs to have this setting enabled.

Here's something a little weird...

I have my computer set to sync automatically with time.nist.gov and it should be the same time as the link provided, as both are provided by nist. However, I just manually synced my computer and it is running 1 min 50 secs behind the website...!!!

I always sync mine in with Timeticker's website. It seems to be right on time with the link provided above.

BTW, the java program on the site above does not work with Firefox, so I have to open up IE to get it to work for me.

Even weirder. I also use Firefox, and the clock works perfectly. Maybe you have Java disabled in your Firefox preferences.

Here's a bare-bones timecheck from the U.S. Naval Observatory which doesn't need java or any other extensions.

It doesn't sync your machine or have any "bells and whistles", but it does give a quick and easy comparison.
