FRE Elbows

Anyone familiar with installing fiberglass conduit underground? I have a job where they are installing 4&5" under FRE.

THe conduits rise up and turn into a substations. The drawings or specs DON'T call for RGS elbows. I throught this was the norm whe installing pvc etc.

Would that make sense to use fiberglass for the elbows as well? Thanks.

There are advantages to using FRE elbows, primarily;y no bonding required.
The only disadvantage I know of as compared to RGS is price.

FRE pipe and elbows are very strong, much stronger than PVC. You shouldn't need RMC elbows like with PVC.

Any reason if you were installing (8) 4" FRE conduits in a duct bank about 40' point to point that you would need 3 men? THink a foreman and journeyman can do it. No?

FRE is much lighter than PVC so even for 5" two men should be able to install it.

if long radius and depending on what that radius is it may be getting close to same weight as a 10 foot straight piece
