Freezer GFCI

Several years ago I had a GFCI in a utility/bathroom that would trip when the vent fan was shut off. Fixed that and put a current sensor on that receptacle to warn me if it tripped. Worked great food still frozen, but it wasn't the GFCI. Freezer issue.

Lowes now carries a gfci receptacle that has an alarm built into it. Don’t remember what brand.

GFCI had not tripped.
The current switch tracks On and Off times of the compressor. IIRC 10 On 15 Off is Normal. It ran past the 60 minute limit for the first time.

I put a GFCI near the Utility room sink because I wanted one. A small chest freezer sat there and at the time my grands were small enough they would sit on it while I washed off their legs etc. The inductive kick back when fan was shut down would trip the GFCI. Fan was ahead of it. Not load side. Wanting to know if the GFCI tripped, I monitor when current flows thru it. Freezer has a pretty set on/off cycle so I monitor those times. I get a text if the times are excessive.
