Either that, or you'd have to come back when you had a couple of charged up batteries for your cordless sawzall. :D Ever see what the PoCo guys do when there's shrubbery in front of a padmount that hasn't been opened in the last 20 years? They summarily get a chainsaw out of their truck and remove the offending vegitation without apology. They're not a bit sorry about trampeling flowers either.

Here is the panel on the side of a sales trailer.

Most of the pads I've seen have a sticker on the front listing the clearances that must be kept around the equipment; they also say if the clearances aren't met, the poco will remove whatever is in the way.

I was working in a neighborhood once where an older couple thought it would be a good idea to plant shrubs, roses, and a couple of small trees around the pad to hide it. They flipped out over the locate marks i called for that ended up on a portion of their property; that was nothing compared to how mad they were when the poco arrived to mark the end of their stub for me to connect to and found their little garden. it promptly disappeared.

Who dropped the ball here?

The EC probably placed his equipment as shown on his drawing.

The fence contractor was most likely told to run his fence 'from here to there'.

The 'smoke shoveler' will think 'it looks bad, feels good'.

Best Wishes Everyone

I pointed it out to the owner, and he said he would have a fence installer cut the fence and set fence posts and angle the fence into it.

this is a security fence around a group of mini warehouses, the fence is not on the property line, I think the owner probley just told the fence people to put the fence so many feet off the edge of the drive or something.

Usually, if it is on the property line, it becomes both.
Not here there is a law of adverse possesion in ny where it takes 7 yrs to take effect. Very tough to enforce if you get your mail. A lot of wifes tales about it I am friends with judges who give me the scoop on local bs problems. Verry cut and dried in a courtroom. Neighbors claiming the fence is thiers ect......

Laws are just wierd in BLUE states.

Look at it this way , It keeps out unqualified people. Anyone else as well.

Here's my pics of the cell phone tower job a while back where this fence thing happened. It doesn't look like they've rented much tower space after all these years either, judging by the same empty meter spaces as when the work was originally done.

Why did you put the service in the wrong spot?
I just do what the paper says. Matter of fact, I think the tower monkeys already had much of the steelwork for the meter support done before the service was started.

As long as your payment was not contingent on them renting tower space and you got payed, On to the next one.
