Marc, whats up with quote new service? When I had this you said find a clean bar and keep going:grin:
Yeah, but you gotta know where to draw the line. This fuse panel doesn't have built in spare parts like a panel does. Plus, I didn't know yours was a bad off as it was at the time I said that.

Where did the Friday pic, go?

To be honest the moderators are fairly indifferent about the 'Friday Night Picture'.

As you may notice this forum has no picture forum category and as far as I know will not.

If someone wants to post a pic to discuss an item they are free to do that but there is no schedule.

Now, that said, if you would like to see a lot of electrical pictures, old stuff, new stuff, violations, great jobs etc. then I suggest you go here and and sign up.

ECN Electrical Forums

Many of the same people are already there and there are 3 photo forums.

I really think we ought to focus on the picture, esp. the code book. Take a look and see what's wrong.

Chris, hard to believe you were really reading that book.

Outside of the fact that in this image, the Codebook is reversed?

Maybe Chris should be using a left-handed shovel!

I am still trying to figure out why you are reading art. 682 (natural and artificially made bodies of water). Is that a pond you are digging???

And , btw, why are you reading the book upside down?:D

Because I read it right side up and it didn't make much sense.

Try reading it in a mirror!

How's this for a Friday Failure Foto:

400 HPS mogul base on a 35' pole. I thought it was just the bulb when I was standing on the ground, but the socket was toast!

I don't know why you would want to sell a "service upgrade"..there is still room for one more wire under the sub-feed screw

I think this is the only thing I had occasion to take a picture of this week. The person called needing a "part for their fusebox" Okay, I arrive and find a burned fuseholder, which is what they were meaning. Seen a million of these. Loose fuse, loose wire, overfusing... this one had them all I guess. Whatever. I told the customer that this part isn't available, and the person insisted that every hardware store sells this part. HA! Anyhow, I snapped a couple pics to add some value to the visit to justify the service call. I think all they're getting from me is an estimate for a service upgrade.

This panel cannot be burned. No arcing can occur with this panel.

BTW, is circuit #1, "Kitchen Back"... is that 20 or 30 amps?

How come he get's a yellow code book?!!! Mine's faded red!!!

cause that's the (outlawed on this forum) dreaded Handbook. I wish we did have photo posting. It is a very good way to get your point across. Works very well on my Sailing Forum.

I'll give you $20 for the box of copper.

Heh...it's about 25 pounds so I'll need a little bit more than that.

Those pictures are too funny. Five years ago, my license still had a DUI on it. I rolled a Ford Explorer. The back of it looked the same. LMAO.

Thank you for the flash back!

Haha, the truck that I had before this one was a black Ford Explorer.

This is a classic example of unqualified personnel doing unethical work. We found this while doing other work at an Army base. This was a new construction project, not a remodel. View attachment 780

I am not sure if many are aware of what I am about to post. The new National Apathetic Code (NAP) that has recently been adopted...based on years of (mis)proven installations... permits this type of installation. It has become Nationally accepted, so we will see this type of installation growing in numbers. If you are looking for membership, they generally meet on nights and weekends in the local "BIG BOX" stores, some local hardware stores as well. Membership is free and their national advisors are the store associates. Homeowners and business owners are flocking over to this new group, as it keeps costs down.

This organization used to meet and work behind closed doors, but as apathy grows, so does the NAP.

So, one can figure to see much more of these installations in the near future in a neighborhood near you.
