In New Jersey, as far as I know, under the UCC, all Oil burners are required since the oil will not burn without electrical ignition.

This is more for FIre Safety and not electrical safety. I would do it just for safety sake...I did.

In my area, we are now faced with $.16 KWhr rates once the increase gets approved by the PUC. This is due to the incredible increases in the cost of natural gas.
