I'm Connecting (2) 10hp (30a Ea.) Pumps Into 0ne 3p Ckt. W/ 100 Brkr. Does My Disconnect Switch Need To Carry A Fuse. If So What Size?
These Are Domestic Pumps.

100 amp sounds about right for the feeder for the two pumps. You will then need to install a branch circuit with proper protection for each pump. What voltage are you using? A 10 HP 208 3-phase motor would be rated 30.8 amps, at 230 volts it would be rated 28 amps. What is a domestic pump? SOunds like you need to talk to someone with some experience in wiring motors or at least spend some time reading article 430.

What is the calculated short circuit current that is available at the disconnect switch? In many situations, the fault current will be higher than the withstand rating of a disconnect switch (no fuse). A fused disconnect switch has a much higher rating to comply with short circuit duties.

Why does that sound like a private matter between spouses?

I sense that you may discriminate against those who chose domestic arrangements other than traditional matrimony. I believe you should sign up for "the class".
