Usually towards the end of a job the idiot project managers come out with a big cardboard box with about 200 assorted fuses in it.
I then have to decifer where the bulk package buyout of the gear distr switch/panels starter buckets etc....etc..... where all this crap goes.
I give them The list of all the missmatched fuses sent out and the corresponding exact measurements and voltage and amperage that I need. I used to do this over the phone but trying to get thier attention while they are trying to sneak out to the golf course or atlantic city casinos proved pointless after 5 or 6 back and forth banters with the lying weasels
backstabbing you all the way.
I now FAX my requests in and put the copys in a folder so when the boss asks why I cant power up a panel I show him the fax transmissions and say what more can I do?
They dont want you to go out and buy them because they should have been included in the package yet it is almost always a problem at the end of a job.
It is a classic tale of pin the tail on the donkey I mean COW.
