I have a 1950's home with the original Wadsworth 30a 3 pole fuse box, catalog #60MR4F. When the fuses go, I've replaced them with the same amp, but I'm not confident the correct fuses were installed when I bought the house. Currently, there are 2-60a/250v fuses in the Main box, 2-35a/250v fuses in the range box (shouldn't it be 2-60a/250v, also), and below the boxes there are four sockets with 3-30a fuses and 1-20a fuse in the rightmost slot. What fuse type and rating should I be using?

Yaz, the size of the fuses used depends, for safety, on the current capacity of the wiring, not just the connected load. You need to have your situation evaluated by a professional electrician, on the spot to make the necessary observations.
