G.E. Multi-Vapor

I always thought Multi-Vapor was what G.E. called metal halide, I was told today at a lighting salon that they can be installed in either metal halide or mercury vapor fixtures. Correct me if Im wrong, but I thought you could install a mercury vapor lamp in a metal halide fixture and it would work (with possibly a shorter lifespan) but not the other way around....

Seems as though I heard the same. Soon however you will not need to worry about the old M.V. at all!:wink:
