Gas and electrical lines in same trench

Are there any issues burying electrical ine in the same trench as a gas line in a residential backyard?

CPUC has a tariff on "Joint Use" trenches. We've had a thread on such.

Your state will surely differ...in some manner.

It has been mentioned here before - once you fill the trench with dirt you no longer have a trench. Separation between different utilities is a different issue.
